How much money should I donate?
If you can only afford to make a small donation you shouldn't feel like it isn't worth giving. EU 25 may not go very far in your hometown, but it's often a whole different story in a disaster zone. In Haiti, such a "small" donation could pay for lunch for a local volunteer for a week or a shovel to help move rubble.
If you can afford to make a big donation, the sky's the limit. You could fund the construction of classrooms, fund vocational training classes, or even the construction of a community centre.
How will my donation be used?
Unless you request otherwise, we’ll split your donation between our long-term education programmes in Haiti and a fund which we’re building up so that we can respond to future disasters around the world in 2012.
Our Education programmes are comprised of the English in Mind Institute and our Scholarship programme for at-risk children.
Can I allocate my donation?
If you have a specific use for your money in mind, we'd love to hear it. Just contact us to arrange the details.
Are there tax incentives on my donation?
UK tax payers donating via Just Giving will automatically have 25% added to their donation through gift aid, making your donation count even more.
US tax payers can make tax deductible donations to EDV by donating through our Omprakash page.
What if I have questions?
We want you to be comfortable with your donation, so we strive for transparency and keep our management accounts online.
