European Disaster Volunteers (EDV) is a volunteer driven, registered charity that aids disaster affected communities worldwide by providing initial relief and helping them achieve sustainable recovery.
Our origins are European but our approach is global — we welcome all volunteers and donors whatever their nationality. EDV allows you to commit whatever it is you have to give — be it a few days out of the month at home, a few Euros, or your work on deployment — directly to those who need it most.
With this attitude in mind, we'll never charge you to volunteer because we believe the work you're capable of doing is just as valuable as your money.
EDV is not currently on deployment. If you want to be kept up to date about our future deployments and how you can get involved, please sign up for our newsletter.

Many people want to contribute but feel that they can’t.

Our mission statement is our cornerstone and acts as our guide. Our operating principles elaborate on the mission statement by addressing more specific issues about how EDV will operate on the ground.
